The Humboldt Forum – Meeting Place of World Cultures
It’s a unique site and a unique project: on the grounds of the former City Palace in Berlin’s historical Mitte district, work is to begin on the Humboldt Forum, with construction scheduled for completion by 2013. There is scarcely any other location in the German capital that so reflects both past history and the future.
The Frankfurt Book Fair
More than 7,000 exhibitors from more than 100 countries and around 1,000 authors, including several Nobel laureates attend the Frankfurt Book Fair which becomes each year a showcase of superlatives. The fair has become a focal point for a whole variety of products. Audio books and film scripts are promoted in the same way as comics or educational software.
