Prestigeous German University Marburg looking for partner university in Lebanon, Jordan or Egypt

The prestigeous German University in Marburg (founded in 1527) is currently looking for a partner university in Lebanon, Jordan or Egypt. The German University offers a partnership for a joint Master's Programme labeled “Economic Change in the Arab Region (ECAR)” (M.A.). Funding will be provided by the German Federal Government for an initial phase until 2017. Indicate your general interest in a co-operation until 29th February (deadline). See below for more.

Hamburg meets Beirut: The outcome !

10 visual arts students from Germany and 10 from Lebanon took part in an exciting workshop on public interventions for green public spaces! The workshop was organized by Beirut Green Project in collaboration with the University of Fine Arts of Hamburg.

"CrossCulture" Internships for young working Lebanese

The target groups of CrossCulture Internships are young working people and committed individuals in different areas of civil society as well as multipliers in media and organisations relevant to reform. Third International Composition Contest "Gitarrentage für Kinder im Saarland"

The "Days of the Guitar for Children and Teenagers" have been organized starting 2009. The next Guitar Days are scheduled for April 2012. In the context of this event, and on the basis of the demand for high quality compositions for guitar ensembles for children, the organizers announce a Third International Composition Contest "Gitarrentage für Kinder im Saarland". Applicants must send their compositions by 15th of December 2011 at the latest.

"Connecting worlds of knowledge" – a research and academic relations initiative

Since 2009 the Federal Foreign Office has been expanding its support for international academic exchanges. This includes a number of new scholarship programmes run by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the establishment – in cooperation with research organizations and companies with a strong research focus – of "German science fora" and the creation of new centres of excellence for teaching and research at universities abroad.
