Presentation on career chances in Germany

On May 24, the Embassy, DAAD Lebanon and AGYA, the Arab-German Young Academy of Sciences and Humanities, gave a joint presentation at the Lebanese University on study, research and career chances in Germany. Ulf-Oliver Hösch of the Embassy's Cultural and Commercial section talked about Germany's job market and career chances for engineers and natural scientists. Germany has currenly around 80,000 vacancies in the field of engineering and other STEM areas, in Germany referred to as MINT. DAAD Lebanon's director Bahar Sayyas gave an overview on Germany's university system, on study and research possibilities in the field of Masters and PhD as well as on DAAD's scholarship program.  Lebanese University Enlarge image (© German Embassy Beirut)

AGYA's regional coordinator for the Levant, Peter Nassif introduced AGYA's portfolio and scholarship program of Arab-German intercultural cooperation. In a Q&A session after the presentations the students had the chance for individual questions. Thank you for the excellent support through the Deans Prof. Fawaz El Omar and Prof. Fadi Chehade.
